MADHURA SANGEETH
A versatile vocalist and an exponent of the veena, T N Seshagopalan has sung the compositions of Muthuswami Dikshitar set to Hindustani ragas. The album begins with Vaathapi ganapathim in raga Hamsadhwani. Govardhana Gireesam in raga Hindolam is in praise of Lord Giridhar. This is followed by the kriti Akhilandeswari in raga Dvijavanthi, worshipping Goddess Devi, who is the protector of all. Set to raga Suba-Panthuvarali, the kriti, Sri Satya-narayanam is in praise of lord Satyanarayana, who is the benefactor to all those who take refuge in him.
