Coromandel Duet
The album opens with Veena Kuppaiyer's Vinayaka in Hamsadhwani and moves on to Orajupuchu of Tyagaraja in Kannadagowla. But Rajesh saves his best for last a scintillating ragam-tanam in Chakravakam that flows melodiously from the electronically treated strings of the mandolin that ultimately leads you to a pallavi composition & raga maalika incorporating ragas Keeravani and the unusual Nasika Bhushani. The uniqueness of this is that Rajesh has improvised & composed the RTP himself! At just under 60 minutes, the album gives every music lover the right listening experience!
