| T N Krishnan has played rare compositions of saint Thyagaraja. The album starts with the kriti Naajivadhara in raga Bilahari, where Tyagaraja addresses the Lord as the main stay of his life, as the personification of all the mantras that he chants and as the one who rules his life. Neeke Dayakara in raga Nilambari precedes Nidhisala Sukama in raga Kalyani, a beautiful composition where Tyagaraja asks the Lord as to what creates. The album ends with a kriti, Githarthamu in raga Surati in praise of Hanuman, devotee of Shri Rama and a shining example of true devotion. |
