| The album presents ragas of the grand maestro of Hindustani music Bhimsen Joshi from live concerts and baithak performances over four decades. The artiste begins the album with a rendition of raga Asavari Todi. The bandish was developed by Bhimsen Joshi, while the drut bandish was developed by his disciple with some help from Panditji's wife, an eminent singer herself. The album concludes with a Natya Sangeet. This stage music of Maharashtra found its way into Classical mehfils due to its classical base. |
