This album features grammy award winner Vishwa Mohan Bhatt who adapted the essentially western guitar by changing the main strings and adding 14 more strings to form a new instrument called the mohan veena. The artiste's playing is a fine combination of the gayaki ang and the tantrakari style. In the album, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt begins his recital with raga Nat Bhairav. He plays alap, jod and jhala and moves onto a drut gat in teentala. This is followed by raga Poorvi, in which he plays alap, a vilambit gat in teentala and a drut gat in teentala. He concludes the album with a dhun based on Tilak Kamod. |
