SHRI DURGA SAPTASHATI
The Navratras in the Sharad ritu are celebrated to invoke the nine forms of goddess Durga. This album presents the most potent Sanskrit invocation to the goddess Durga. According to lord Shiva, one reading of Shri Durga Saptashati equals a whole years worth of charity. This three hour long album opens in the melodious voice of Gurinder Harnam Singh singing the opening prayers and then the first four chapters of it. The second half of the album is recorded in magnificent and powerful voices of Rajan Sajan Mishra, who have rendered chapters five to thirteen along with the moving and conclusive Kshama Prarthana.
