AA MIL YAAR
All-new album by the great Sufi exponents Wadali Brothers. An assortment of seven new Sufi tracks, the album features great poets like Bullehshah, Ghulam Farid and Sultan Bahu. Based on the Sufi thought of metaphysical love for the Almighty who is symbolised through the beloved, the album brings forth the unique and vigorous style of the duo, whose names have become synonymous with the rich Punjabi Sufi and folk music. The music is adorned with minimal orchestration keeping the authentic Sufi style untouched. Starting with the popular and much loved qawwali, Tere Ishq Nachaya, the Wadalis move onto a melodious rendition of Aa Mil Yaar, a moving Sufi kafi which calls out to the beloved for union. The next is another number Sone Yaar in praise of the beloved. The album advances through other compositions based on Punjabi traditional melodies and ragas.The album concludes with a slow, moving rendition of Sultan Bahus famous Alaf Alla.
