Bhakti Lahari
The album denotes the unity of all religions. Swami Vishnu Devananda & Swami Sivananda condensed all their teaching into one noble statement. 'Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate, Realize, Be Good! Do Good'. Bhakti musicians, beginning with sage, Narada and other great bhaktas have composed and sung music from time immemorial. However in the present Kali Yuga the Bhakti Movement is traced to the Dravida Desha in South India,several centuries ago. Famous saint composers such as Adi Shankara,Thagaraja, Andal and Purandara Dasa are some of the great bhaktas from south India, who showed us that music is an effective pathway to God. The Bhakti Movement spread all over India and the mystic - composers of the north like Kabirdas, Surdas, Meera Bai, Tulsidas right upto the Nobel Prize winning Rabindranath Tagor, have carried this Bhakti Movement to truly sublime levels.
