Tribute To Tansen (Raga Miyan Ki Todi)
Tansen is a known as the 'Sangeet Samrat' - meaning 'the Monarch of Indian Music' who holds the most distinguished position in the arena of Indian cultural tradition. He was the foremost musician of the Royal Court of Akbar. Known to have created many ragas, which now hold prominent position in Hindustani music, Miyan Tansen left a treasure-house of music as his legency. This album features the popular raga -'Miyan Ki Todi', rendered by the legends of Indian classical music - Ustad Amjad Ali Khan & Kala Ramnath.
