Khayal
Khayal' is the most popular style in Hindustani classical music. Its name comes from an Arabic word meaning ''imagination''. This double-CD album features un-edited, complete khayal starting from the vilambit khyala (slow composition) till the drut khayal (fast composition). The first CD presents the khayal in the vocal style by maestros such as Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and Pandit Jasraj & the second CD features the instrumental presentation of khayal by the legends - Ustad Bismillah Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar.
